ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER:
Allisa Gurtner, MS, LAT, ATC
Gurtner joined Cornell's sports medicine staff in March 2021. A native of Middleton, Wis., Gurtner attended Illinois Wesleyan University and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. She received her master's in athletic training at Franklin College in 2020.
At Illinois Wesleyan, Gurtner played for the women's soccer team, which sparked her interest in athletic training. As a senior, she worked as a student medical assistant with women's soccer and swimming and diving.
In the summer of 2019, Gurtner completed an internship with the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women's Soccer League. At Franklin College, she worked with volleyball, men's and women's basketball, football, men's and women's soccer, track and cross country, and baseball at both the collegiate and high school levels.
Gurtner is excited to join the Ramily and help her athletes be successful.

ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER:
Casey Goguts, MS, ATC, LAT
Goguts, of Jupiter, Fla., joined Cornell's sports medicine staff in August 2025.
Goguts earned her bachelor's degree from University of South Carolina Upstate in 2023 and received a master's in athletic training from Florida International University in 2025.
Goguts was head athletic trainer for the Billings Mustangs, an independent professional team in the Pioneer League, from May 2025-July 2025.
Goguts played two collegiate softball seasons at South Carolina Upstate (2022-23), followed by one season at Florida International (2024). She is Florida International's first student to be a member of both an athletics team and the master's athletic training program.
Goguts played for Team USA U17 Softball in 2019 and won a gold medal in a Pan American Games qualifier held in Barranquilla, Colombia.

Amanda Passaglia, ATC, LAT

Passaglia joined Cornell's sports medicine staff as Assistant Athletic Trainer in January 2022.

TEAM ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON:
Dr. Mark C. Mysnyk, M.D.
Dr. Mark Mysnyk, Steindler Orthopedic Clinic PLC, is one of the leading orthopedic surgeons in the Midwest. Dr. Mysnyk assists in supervising all of Cornell's 19 varsity athletic teams. Dr. Mysnyk was an alternate on the U.S. Olympic wrestling team in 1976 and wrestled for the University of Iowa from 1974 - 1979.
