WAVERLY – Cornell's young women's wrestling team dropped a 43-3 dual meet to No. 15 nationally-ranked Wartburg Wednesday night in Levick Arena.
All seven Rams who took the mat are first-year wrestlers in the program. Cornell was open at the first three weights against the Knights (1-0), who had three nationally-rated individuals in their lineup.

Jasmine McCaskel picked up a quality win over May Prado. The match was tied 10-10 through regulation and McCaskel prevailed by criteria with her four-point move in the first period.
The team leader in wins, McCaskel improved her season record to 7-4.

Addison Thrash (124 pounds),
Ciara Gomez-Bryant (138) and Danyia Werner (207) all lost by technical fall. The Knights recorded pins at 131, 160 and 180.
Coming up – The Rams wrestle at the University of Iowa Duals Saturday in Iowa City. Cornell faces William Jewell at 1 p.m., followed by a 1:45 p.m. dual against the top-ranked Hawkeyes.
