LISLE, Ill. – Cornell's men's lacrosse team endured a slow start and couldn't make up the deficit in Wednesday's 18-4 loss to NACC foe Benedictine on the road.
The Eagles (7-3 overall, 3-2 NACC) reeled off 13 unanswered goals to start the contest before sophomore
Kayden Kuan put Cornell (3-6 overall, 1-4 NACC) on the board with an assisted score from
Tyler Foster with 4:09 left in the third quarter.
Foster added another assist and a goal for his team-high three points in the contest.
Kaden Weaver and
Charley Kobets also scored for the Rams, who were plagued by 29 turnovers.
The Rams matched the home team with 37 ground balls, led by
Brandon Warnke's game-high seven. Cornell won six more face-offs than the Eagles, with
Ben Wojewski converting 16-of-25 chances.

Nathan Diveley notched 16 saves in a complete-game effort. He faced 56 shots by the Eagles.
Caden Lynch and Dively led the Rams with two caused turnovers apiece.
