ORLANDO, FL - Cornell's women's tennis team had a plethora of matches over their finals two days of competition in the sunshine state. The Rams closed out their spring break trip winning all four matches the past two days remaining undefeated this spring season. Cornell secured wins over Northwestern (MN) 6-1, Carthage 6-1, Marymount 6-1, and a thrilling 4-3 decision over Bryn Mawr.
The Rams (17-3) took on both Northwestern and Carthage on Monday. In the morning match, Cornell opening with singles play first and captured all six singles matches.
Michaela Clark,
Mac Graves,
Tansy Graves,
Annika Dox, and
Ashley Drake all won in straight sets at their respective spots.
Kortney Travis provided the final singles win with a super tiebreak win at No. 5. The Eagles took their lone point of the match in doubles with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
Audrey Small and
Jenna Benkufsky took their No. 1 doubles match 6-4.
In the evening against Carthage, the Rams swept doubles for the second time during the trip. Clark and
Mac Graves,
Tansy Graves and Dox, as well as Small and Benkufsky all earned wins at the three doubles spots.
Cornell played tough in singles ending with five courts securing victories. Clark,
Mac Graves, and Small won swiftly in straight sets to secure the dual match. Benkufsky and Dox rounded out their singles bouts in third set super tiebreakers.
Tansy Graves narrowly dropped her No. 3 match in a super tiebreak.
Tuesday marked the final day of competition for Cornell. The Rams opened the day with singles play first again against Marymount.

Meredith Maxwell and
Mirabel Pinkerton were all straight set winners. Marymount swept all three doubles matches for their lone team point.
The final match of the day the Rams saw themselves in a familiar position down the doubles point. Clark and
Mac Graves breezed through their No. 1 spot 6-1.
Tansy Graves and Dox were edged 7-5 at No. 2.
The Rams for the third time this spring took at least four singles matches while down a team point to mark a come from behind win.
Mac Graves and
Annika Dox took care of business at No. 2 and No. 6 respectively in straight sets.
Tansy Graves snagged a tough 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 to even the match a three a piece.
Small, the last match remaining, down a set and 2-3, found herself in a super tiebreak for the meet. In hot a humid conditions, Small finished out her match 5-7, 6-3, 10-2 clinching the meet for the Rams.
Cornell is now winners of seven straight to open the spring season.
Mac Graves went a perfect 10-0 on the trip. Small ended her trip 5-0 in singles.
Tansy Graves is closing in on 100 career wins as a Ram. She currently sits at 97 total victories, now in the top 15 overall in program history.
