DUBUQUE –
Hadley Beaty continued his hot start to the 2026 indoor track season by breaking the school indoor record in the 200 Saturday at the Spartan Shootout on the A.Y. McDonald Indoor Track.
Beaty finished second in the 200 with the school record time of 22.13, breaking
Jensen Meeker mark of 22.44 set in 2024.
Chase Staker (22.98) and
Jensen Meeker (22.99) finished third and fourth. Josh Yearby (Beloit) won the race with a time of 21.98.
Ike Claussen-Tubbs finished second in the high jump for the Rams, clearing 5-10.75. Beaty added a second-place finish in the long jump, with a jump of 21-11.75.
The 4x400 relay team of
Blaine Dohrmann,
Jamie Briggs,
Caleb Long and
Dylan Adam finished third, crossing the line in 3:36.95
Sophomore
Lidia Dahlman picked up a first-place finish for the Cornell women in the 3000 with a time of 10:32.75. Sophomore
Carley Seeley crossed the line in third (10:56.06).
Sia Bear took second in long jump for the Rams, with a jump of 16-4.75.
Hailey Carolan picked up second in the high jump, clearing 5-0.25.
Robyn Mar finished fourth in the weight throw (44-1).
Senior
Alyza Koppes picked up two third place finishes for Cornell, mile (5:09.17) and 800 (2:25.46).
The 4x400 relay team of Carolan,
Alexa Hugart,
Willow Ziegler and
Jillian Shriver rounded out the scoring finishing third with a time of 4:25.88.
Cornell had two athletes compete in the Wartburg Select in Waverly Saturday.
Jake Bach finished fifth in the men's mile (4:15.03) and
Ava Claussen-Tubbs finished sixth in the women's mile (5:11.14).
Coming up – The Rams will be competing in the Darren Young Classic in Grinnell Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14. Cornell will also have several athletes taking part in the Midwest Elite Invitational in Whitewater, Wis. on Friday, Feb. 13.
