CEDAR RAPIDS – No. 7 nationally-ranked Coe won the final five matches to break away from Cornell in Wednesday's 32-7 Bremner Cup men's wrestling dual at Kohawk Arena.
The Rams (5-7) picked up wins from senior
Eli Sneed at 133 pounds and junior
AJ Parrish at 157 in the team's final meet of the season. All seven of Cornell's dual losses came against Top 25 opponents.
In a meet that featured eight nationally-ranked individuals, Sneed delivered one of the most impressive wins with an 11-1 major decision over No. 12 Brody Neighbor. Sneed (26-11) scored a takedown in the first period, two more in the second and secured the extra bonus point with a reversal in the third.
At 157, 13th-ranked Parrish (25-7) prevailed in a hard-fought 4-1 sudden victory over Zachary Montez. Parrish executed a takedown late in the overtime period to win it.
The Kohawks (8-3) took the other eight matches, posting bonus points in four of them.
In the lone ranked matchup of the night at 165, Coe's No. 13 Bo Koedam earned a 10-3 decision over No. 8
Brian Petry. The Kohawks pulled an upset at 197 as Jean Ngoma held off 12th-ranked
Jackson Brinker for an 8-6 decision.
Coe picked up technical falls from No. 7 Brayden Parke at 125 (19-4 over
Jase Van Pelt) and Justin Wirtz at 184 (17-2 over
Clay Schemmel. No. 14 Dresden Grimm won by fall at 141 (5:46 over
Dylan Heater).

Elias Chapin, 14-6, at 174. At heavyweight, Coe's 12th-ranked Wyatt Smith defeated
Braydon Hoffman, 8-3.
The Kohawks clinched the 2025-26 Bremner Cup, now leading 8-3 with only four head-to-head competitions remaining.
